We seek to appoint a well-qualified, dynamic and ambitious teacher as a key leader in our Performing Arts subjects both at our Main Campus, and at our cutting-edge Facility for the most able students, the Nexus Campus and Cornwall School of Maths and Science. The Nexus Campus is the home of both the Gifted Programme which develops and nurtures the most able students and CSMS, which makes provision and enrichment for the most able at Post-16 in Sciences and Mathematics. The Gifted Programme is described as ‘Breathtaking’ by NACE the National charity for able children in education.
This post is an ideal opportunity for an inspirational teacher whose passion is teaching and learning and who enjoys being in the classroom, motivating and inspiring both students and colleagues alike. The successful candidate will bring creative and innovative ideas to Performing Arts. They will be able to demonstrate significant impact in their previous or current roles. This post affords scope for colleagues who wish to progress in their career, and would provide a platform for the next career step to be senior leadership. The successful candidate will be an outstanding classroom teacher in their career to date and will display excellent leadership and teamwork skills. They will have presence, personality and the ‘wow factor’.
As well as demonstrating excellent teaching skills, the successful candidate will lead on developing extracurricular Performing Arts including, but not limited to: choirs; orchestra’s; bands; school productions and dance productions.
Performing Arts is a high achieving and dynamic department and the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that high quality performances become embedded in the school on a regular basis.
