If you have the passion, creativity and personality of an outstanding Head of Geography, then these are the aptitudes we are looking for. You need to be able to display exceptional leadership and management skills that can inspire and develop our successful Geography Faculty. You must be able to teach our full age and ability range, including VI Form. The faculty’s A-level programme is very successful and is a popular choice with students.
Teachers in the faculty are passionate about the topics delivered which include Map Skills, Weather and Climate, and Development in Key Stage 3, AQA syllabus A in Key Stage 4 and AQA Geography in Key Stage 5.
Geography is high achieving with results being outstanding as students make excellent progress. Members of the team are totally committed to ensuring successful outcomes for our students.
The faculty takes full advantage of the excellent geographical opportunities afforded by Cornwall for local fieldwork with educational visits to St Ives, Gwithian and Godrevy beaches.

The Geography Faculty take part in the Japanese Humanities Conference and also run field trips to Iceland and Southern Italy; with visits to Pompeii, Vesuvius and the Amalfi Coast. These visits are well supported by staff and students and the successful candidate for this post will be expected to become fully involved with our fieldwork programmes.

The aim is to develop young learners who are able to pick and choose from the best courses at the very best universities worldwide; young people who have a wealth of research experience from working with some of the best academics in their field of interest. These young people will be amongst those who devise the solutions for the most pressing problems faced by mankind, and Nexus will equip them for this bright future.
