We are seeking a well-qualified, enthusiastic and inspiring colleague to join our highly regarded and successful Performing Arts team. We seek the very best teachers who can consistently teach good or better lessons. You will be able to enthuse and motivate our students with your passion for Drama and Music through creative teaching, presence and personality. This role is flexible and so at times a successful candidate may also be required to teach some English lessons.
The Drama and Music departments are highly successful and totally committed to ensuring successful outcomes for our students. BTEC courses are run in both Performing Arts and Music at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. The ability to teach Key Stage 5 is helpful, but not a pre-requisite for the post. We have recently showcased a highly successful school production We Will Rock You (School Edition) and we are looking for excellent teachers who are excited by the prospect of continuing to develop Musical Theatre and Performing Arts at CSIA. The successful candidate will be passionate in their contributions to ensuring that students get ‘out of lesson’ experiences through clubs, trips and visits, showcases and productions.

We are delighted to have opened the doors to NEXUS, CSIAs Centre of Excellence for STEM and Liberal Arts. The aim is to develop young learners who are able to pick and choose from the best courses at the very best universities worldwide; young people who have a wealth of research experience from working with some of the best academics in their field of interest. These young people will be amongst those who devise the solutions for the most pressing problems faced by mankind, and Nexus will equip them for this bright future.
Applications from experienced colleagues and Early Career Teachers are equally welcome. We have an outstanding ECT Induction programme to offer support to new staff. The person appointed will be given full support in their career development as we believe that development of staff is a key aspect in raising standards for our students.
*The closing date given is a guide. We reserve the right to close the post early dependent on the number of applications, so we advise you to submit your application early to prevent disappointment. Interviews will take place within two weeks of the closing date.
