An opportunity has arisen for a Site Team Caretaker to work 37 hours per week on a rotational basis. The successful applicant will need to be able to work on their own, and as part of a team, managing their time and priorities during the day.

The main purpose of the role is to; undertake general repairs and maintenance of the school buildings and facilities, practical support in arrangements for meetings/events and to assist in maintaining the security of the school buildings.

As part of the Site Team, operating across the Trust’s Sites to meet the needs of the Academy, the main duties and responsibilities are (but not limited to):

• Acting as a joint key holder, opening and locking the Academy Sites and ensuring security at all times including the operation of alarms

• To participate in evacuation procedures as agreed and in accordance with the Academy’s evacuation procedures

• Provide a general maintenance and repair service of the school building and facilities

• To be proactive in reporting any major defects in building, equipment and security systems observed in the course of duties and report to Premises Manager and liaise with approved contractors as required

• Undertake regular monitoring of the Site being vigilant regarding litter and providing emergency cleaning of academy facilities as required

• To undertake gardening and ground work duties as directed by the Site Manager

• To be aware of and adhere to applicable rules, regulation, legislation and procedures regarding Site Maintenance (Health and Safety, COSHH)
