Required for September 2022, a capable, enthusiastic and inspiring Teacher of Art to join our successful, highly regarded and extremely well resourced Faculty. Courses include GCSE and A Level Art, GCSE and A Level Photography, and KS3 Art.
The Art and Photography Faculty is well resourced and we are proud to have excellent facilities, which include a fully functioning kiln; clay room; three art class rooms; a brilliantly resourced specialist dark room; photography studio; photography suite; extensive photography equipment; excellent print making facilities and a full time specialist art technician. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to expand their teaching and creative practice across many disciplines with support, and gain experience working with students who have a true appreciation for the arts. An applicant with experience in photography or ceramics would be desirable, however specialists from all disciplines will be equally considered.
Art and Photography are increasingly popular choices at GCSE and A Level. We pride ourselves in the quality of our teaching and the extensive extra-curricular activity programme we run in art. All extracurricular clubs and opportunities are popular and well attended. The successful candidate should be willing to contribute to our exciting extra-curricular programme which is available to our students and is at the very heart of our community. The art department contributes to the wider school significantly, with the department currently running KS3 art clubs, KS4 studio time, and KS5 dark room and camera clubs. The department are also supported in the running of artist and skills based workshops, and offer our students experiences such as gallery visits and University tasters.

These young people will be amongst those who devise the solutions for the most pressing problems faced by mankind, and Nexus will equip them for this bright future.
