Cover Supervisor 

Fixed term contract until July 2018
37 Hours – Term Time Only
Band E: £14,469 - £16,905
(pro rata salary: £11,967 - £13,982)

We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified person to provide effective cover supervision in a range of classes and subjects in response to unforeseen short-term teacher absences, ensuring good order is maintained in the classroom and pupils keep to task. To work under the guidance of teaching/senior staff within an agreed system of supervision.  

Responsibilities of the post include (but not limited to):

To administer pre-set work.

  • To engage all pupils in pre-set activities.
  • To supervise and manage pupils’ behaviour in accordance with the Academy’s recognised behavioural standards.
  • To participate in lunchtime supervision of students.

It would be advantageous for the successful candidates to have at least 2/3 years’ experience of working with secondary age pupils and to have a working knowledge of pupil behaviour management.

 Teaching Assistant Band 1

Fixed term until 20th July 2018
27.92 hours per week, Term time only
Salary Range C1–C4 (£14,469 - £14,626 Pro Rata)
Actual Salary (£9,030- £9,128) PA

Camborne Science and International Academy are looking to recruit outstanding Teaching Assistants (Band 1), to support students across the curriculum.

The role will require successful applicants to support the academic, social and physical needs of identified pupils. This will be done through in-class support and working with small groups of students or individuals. Successful candidates will also assist in the development, maintenance and use of resources.

This role is an outstanding opportunity for graduates who, having completed a good honours degree, are looking to gain experience in schools prior to commencing a career in the teaching profession.
