Dear Parents and Carers, firstly may we take this opportunity to thank you for all your support in working with us these last few months. We hope that you and your child have felt supported throughout this time. The teachers and staff have found working with students to be a very rewarding, enjoyable and fulfilling experience. As you will be aware, for most, the school has been closed during this time and many teachers and staff left CSIA at very short notice and have not been in since, and have been at home delivering remote learning and maintaining contact with our students.


We are letting you know that we have decided that the CSIA onsite and remote learning provision will not continue after Wednesday 15 July to enable all of the teachers and support staff to return to school on the Thursday and Friday, in order to ensure that all outstanding business and admin is completed before the end of term, and to be briefed and to initially prepare for our return in September. Further information on the new academic year 2020/21 will follow next week.

Your child may have reserved a copy of the Year book by paying a £15 deposit. The Yearbooks are now being ordered and a final payment of £9 is needed. If your child has not already reserved a copy of the Yearbook, you now have a final opportunity to purchase a copy.  If you would like to do so, you will need to pay the full £24.

Given the current school closure, we will update you with the way in which this year’s book will be distributed and we’d ask for your continued support and patience with this at this time. However, we feel that it is important to proceed with the production of this year’s Yearbook in order to give our students positive memories.

This final payment of £9 (making the total payment of £24) or £24 if you have not already paid the deposit, needs to be received by Friday 10th July. Please make this payment via Parent Pay.

I would like to remind you that the Yearbook is a student project.  The Yearbook is produced with the committee’s own creative spin.  They endeavour to represent the year group to the best of their ability and produce a quality keepsake for students to treasure for years to come.  However, despite their best efforts, some small mistakes may be found within the Yearbook.  By purchasing a Yearbook you are entering into the arrangement with the understanding that small mistakes may occur and that refunds cannot be made.

Voucher scheme for parents with children eligible for free school meals.

The Government has announced a voucher scheme for parents with children eligible for free school meals.

The scheme, to start after the Easter holiday will provide £15 per week per child and can be used in the major supermarkets.  Families who have not previously claimed free school meals entitlement, but think they may be eligible can apply via Cornwall Council’s website.  Vouchers will be sent electronically to parents on a weekly basis.  If you need to update the school with your email address or need to discuss an alternative method other than email delivery, please contact the school as a priority at or 01209 712280.
