Full Time and Permanent, 37 hours per week, 52 week contract
The Academy is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Finance Assistant. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the effective running of the Trust and its school(s); providing financial and administrative support under the direction and guidance of the Finance Manager.
The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for students, parents and staff within the Finance Office (9.00am – 5.00pm, Monday to Thursday & Friday, 9.00am – 4.30pm).
Under the direction of the Finance Manager, duties will involve (although not limited to) carrying-out the work of the Finance Office in a professional and appropriate manner, through the use of effective organisation and planning, to ensure timely completion of all tasks and adherence to deadlines, in particular operation and management of the Purchase Ledger and Accounts Receivable functions.
Excellent administration skills are required along with a good standard of literacy and numeracy and the ability to show initiative, commitment and a positive attitude. The successful candidate will be resilient and reliable, with an understanding and respect for confidentiality, having the confidence to make their own decisions and possessing strong communication and interpersonal skills. A good standard of practical ICT skills is essential. Experience of SIMS and MS Office packages would be desirable, although training will be provided where appropriate. An AAT qualification is desirable but not essential.
