CSIA 6th annual Careers Fair

Our 6th annual Careers Fair was absolutely extraordinary on our PSHE Day on 2nd February. Our students networked successfully, securing work experience placements and mentoring opportunities.
With well over 1000 students, parents and carers participating it was the perfect opportunity for our students to explore the 10 growth areas of the Cornish economy as well as national and international companies, further education and higher education providers.
During our PSHE Day our students also learned about managing their finances, understanding the labour market, independent living skills, enterprise skills, parenting, applying to university and for apprenticeships, had sessions in RSE from Brook and Barnados, drug and alcohol awareness from SCADA, life at university with CSIA alumni from University of Falmouth and ambassadors from University of Exeter, and mental wellbeing awareness and available support from Kernow Connect. A packed day with lots of advice and guidance on living in the wider world and how it can impact our lives, now and in the future.
“The whole day was relevant to our lives, financially informative and prepared us for life as an adult.” – Jacob B.
