Co-curricular programme – Extraordinary Experiences
At Camborne Science and International Academy we are proud of the extraordinary young people who venture onwards to university and employment.
Our co-curricular programme encourages all students to develop their skills and qualities through a diverse range of experiences.
We provide for our students broader development, enabling them to develop and discover their interests and talents. Whatever the activity students will be building their character including their resilience, confidence and independence.
The activities below are in addition to our fantastic International Programme; faculty fieldtrips; university visits and our outstanding outdoor education provision. Our Duke of Edinburgh and Ten Tors provision will start for Years 9 – 13 after October half term.
Year 11 students have a thorough bounce-back and revision timetable which runs from 2.45 – 4.00pm. Please refer to your Year 11 child’s timetable for their specific needs. They can still access activities on the days where they do not have bounce-back or revision sessions.
With student and staff safety a priority, our co-curricular provision has been restructured to enable the school to maintain year group bubbles. Some activities will be limited in numbers. When making co-curricular choices please be aware that students who do not get their first choice activity this term, will be able to get onto that activity next term. We may need to amend or add to our provision as circumstances or official guidance changes. We will communicate any changes to staff, parents and students.
Our ‘Virtual Co-curricular Fayre’ will be able to be accessed at 4pm on Wednesday 9th September. Students have all been invited to year specific google classrooms where they will be able to access more information about their co-curricular activities. Students can access those classrooms through links in their email.
Our Extraordinary Me Meet the Employer Experiences will be postponed this term, however, a virtual provision is being put in place so students still have an opportunity to investigate potential future careers.
Registration for activities can be done through the hyperlinks below. Any queries can be made here.
