Addressing the needs of each pupil

Students have different career guidance needs at different stages. Opportunities for advice and support will be tailored to the needs of each pupil. All students will have accessed a careers appointment by the end of Year 11 and have additional access to independent careers advice and guidance in The VI Form Academy. Camborne Science and International Academy’s careers programme will embed equality and diversity considerations throughout.

Statutory Duty
Camborne Science and International Academy has a statutory duty to provide independent and impartial careers education, information, advice and guidance for all Year 8-13 students, which is intended to inspire and motivate pupils to fulfil their potential. Schools are required to help every student develop high aspirations and consider a broad and ambitious range of careers. Inspiring every student through more real-life contacts with the world of work can help them understand where different choices can take them in the future.  See Gatsby benchmark 8: Personal Guidance
