Due to a significant increase in student numbers, being the school of choice for parents/carers from our local community and beyond, we are seeking a well-qualified, enthusiastic and inspiring colleague to join our highly regarded and successful English Faculty. We seek the very best teachers who can consistently teach good or better lessons. You will be able to enthuse and motivate our students with your passion for English and creative teaching, presence and personality.
English is a high achieving and dynamic faculty. Results are outstanding and students make excellent progress. Members of the team are totally committed to ensuring successful outcomes for our students. At post-16 we currently offer A-level English, Drama and Media, very popular and highly successful options for our VI Form students. The ability to teach to post-16 is helpful, but not a pre-requisite for the post. We deliver AQA GCSE Language and Literature and at A Level we teach the combined AQA Language/Literature and Literature. In addition, at post 16 we deliver AQA Media, AQA Drama and BTEC Performing Arts.

We are delighted to have opened the doors to NEXUS, Camborne Science and International Academy’s Centre of Excellence for STEM. Nexus is a unique facility on a separate, state-of-the-art campus that offers students who are especially able in Science, Technology and Mathematics a chance to thrive and shine in their chosen field of study through a bespoke curriculum designed to engage and challenge gifted learners. Alongside this specially designed curriculum, students experience a rich co-curricular programme that complements the curriculum and deepens and develops the scholarship of these students. The aim is to develop young learners who are able to pick and choose from the best courses at the very best Universities worldwide; young people who have a wealth of research experience from working with some of the best academics in their field of interest. These young people will be amongst those who devise the solutions for the most pressing problems faced by mankind, and Nexus will equip them for this bright future.
The person appointed will be given full support in their career development as we believe that development of staff is a key aspect in raising standards for our students.
