We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and inspiring teacher, who can consistently teach good or outstanding lessons, to join our thriving Health & Social Care/ Child Development team.
The successful candidate will be able to enthuse and motivate with a passion for Health & Social Care and Child Development and be a creative dynamic teacher with presence and personality. You will be joining a vibrant, hardworking faculty that are committed to ensuring successful outcomes for our students. The successful candidate will be required to contribute to the teaching of Health & Social Care and Child Development throughout key stages 4 and 5. Health & Social Care and Child Development have consistently produced outstanding results at both Year 11 and Year 13 with many students securing university places in health related sectors. Both subjects are very popular and have a high regard in the school.
Camborne Science and International Academy is a dynamic and innovative school in the heart of beautiful West Cornwall; which affords a very high quality of life. CSIA is one of Cornwall’s most successful schools, having been one of the highest performing state schools in Cornwall for the past 4 years. CSIA is home to the Nexus STEM and PPE programme for gifted students in KS3 and 4 and Cornwall School of Maths and Science in the VI Form. We run a very active Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme with over 200 students involved and field Ten Tors teams each year.
Our school has developed exceptional International Science and Mathematics links with top schools in the Japan, Singapore, Thailand, China, South Korea, Australia and Canada. Recent collaboration has involved joint research projects, International Science and Mathematics fairs and competitions, as well as many significant student/staff visits and exchanges. The successful appointee will be encouraged to participate in this amazing and unique programme.
