The successful candidates’ key accountabilities and responsibilities will be leading a part of CSIA’s whole school raising standards strategy. We are a PiXL school. Your main responsibilities will be for taking a key stage or year group and you will need to show a vision and passion for ensuring the results are outstanding for all pupils in all subgroups.
Camborne Science and International Academy is a dynamic and innovative school in the heart of beautiful West Cornwall; which affords a very high quality of life. CSIA is one of Cornwall’s most successful schools, having been one of the highest performing state schools in Cornwall for the past 4 years. CSIA is home to the Nexus STEM and PPE programme for gifted students in KS3 and 4 and Cornwall School of Maths and Science in the VI Form. We run a very active Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme with over 200 students involved and field Ten Tors teams each year.
Our school has developed exceptional International Science and Mathematics links with top schools in the Japan, Singapore, Thailand, China, South Korea, Australia and Canada. Recent collaboration has involved joint research projects, International Science and Mathematics fairs and competitions, as well as many significant student/staff visits and exchanges. The successful appointee will be encouraged to participate in this amazing and unique programme.
