You will join a dynamic and forward thinking Senior Leadership Team and be expected to make a difference. Taking strategic lead for developing our English Faculty, you will have exceptional leadership qualities with a real capacity to inspire, motivate, enthuse and support colleagues and students. You will be passionate about ensuring all students have an outstanding educational experience and achieve their personal and academic potential.
The main responsibilities of the post will involve leadership of the English Faculty, alongside which the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, joining SLT meetings where appropriate and taking on a remit within be the strategic whole school development and implementation of cutting edge initiatives in Teaching & Learning, Student Mentoring & Assessment, Curriculum and Student Intervention, thus ensuring that CSIA continues to be one of the top performing schools in the South West, affording our students outstanding learning opportunities with exceptional outcomes. We are a PiXL school and the successful candidate will work in partnership with our Raising Standards Leaders.
Camborne Science and International Academy is a dynamic and innovative school in the heart of beautiful West Cornwall; which affords a very high quality of life. CSIA is one of Cornwall’s most successful schools, consistently being one of the highest performing state schools in Cornwall. CSIA is home to the Nexus STEM and PPE programme for gifted students in KS3 and 4 and Cornwall School of Maths and Science in the VI Form, all located on the specialist Nexus campus. We run a very active Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme with over 200 students involved and field Ten Tors teams each year.
Our school has developed exceptional International Science and Mathematics links with top schools in Japan, Singapore, Thailand, China, South Korea, Australia and Canada. Recent collaboration has involved joint research projects, International Science and Mathematics fairs and competitions, as well as many significant student/staff visits and exchanges.
