Specialism in History, Geography or Religion, Philosophy and Ethics

Full time, Permanent

Required for September 2018

Due to expanding pupil numbers and our newly created Most Able Programme, Nexus PPE for students gifted in English, Humanities, Languages and the Arts, we are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic and inspiring teacher to join our high performing Humanities faculty.  Our Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) stream will be launched in September 2018 and will complement our highly successful Gifted STEM programme. Applications from candidates from all Humanities disciplines are welcomed.

Humanities is a high achieving and dynamic faculty.  Results are outstanding and students make excellent progress.  Members of the team are totally committed to ensuring successful outcomes for our students.  At Key stage 4 and Key stage 5, students can opt to study Geography, History, Religion, Philosophy and Ethics, and we will shortly be introducing Politics.

Nexus is a unique facility on a separate, state-of-the-art campus that offers students who are especially able a chance to thrive and shine through a bespoke curriculum designed to engage and challenge gifted learners. Alongside this specially designed curriculum, students experience a rich co-curricular programme that complements the curriculum and deepens and develops the scholarship of these students. The aim is to develop young learners who are able to pick and choose from the best courses at the very best universities worldwide; young people who have a wealth of experience from working with some of the best academics in their field of interest.

We seek the very best teachers who can consistently teach good or better lessons.  You will be able to enthuse and motivate our students with your passion for Design & Technology and creative dynamic teaching, presence and personality.
