We are seeking a well-qualified, enthusiastic and inspiring colleague to join our highly regarded and successful Art Faculty. We seek the very best teachers who can consistently teach good or better lessons. You will be able to enthuse and motivate our students with your passion for Art and creative teaching, presence and personality.
The person appointed must be capable of teaching Art across KS3 and 4 and it would be an advantage, although not essential, to have experience of teaching KS5. They will be generous with their time and be enthusiastic and committed to a wide programme of Art-related extra-curricular opportunities for our students. Art and Photography are very popular throughout the school, and attract large numbers at KS4 and in the Sixth Form.
Camborne Science and International Academy is a dynamic and innovative school in the heart of beautiful West Cornwall; which affords a very high quality of life. CSIA is one of Cornwall’s most successful schools, consistently being one of the highest performing state schools in Cornwall. CSIA is home to the Nexus STEM and PPE programme for gifted students in KS3 and 4 and Cornwall School of Maths and Science in the VI Form, all located on the specialist Nexus campus. We run a very active Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme with over 200 students involved and field Ten Tors teams each year.
Our school has developed exceptional International Science and Mathematics links with top schools in Japan, Singapore, Thailand, China, South Korea, Australia and Canada. Recent collaboration has involved joint research projects, International Science and Mathematics fairs and competitions, as well as many significant student/staff visits and exchanges. The successful appointee will be encouraged to participate in this amazing and unique programme.
