Students and staff from Camborne Science and International Academy were given the opportunity to gain literary inspiration from renowned British authors recently at the Kernow Youth Book Awards ceremony, held at the Eden Project.
This is the second year that CSIA has participated in the awards, which celebrates reading and creative writing, and is voted for purely by teenagers in Cornwall. Each student participating reads six books from different genres to broaden their literary horizons.
Camborne Science & International Academy are seeking a new Member and a new Trustee to join our exciting learning community. The successful candidate will contribute to the Board and can bring their experience from a legal, business or financial background in helping the management of the Trust fulfil its corporate operations. An interest in the education of young people between the ages of 11 - 19 would be an advantage.
Ian Kenworthy, who has served as head teacher at Camborne Science and International Academy for a number of years, was recognised for leading Cornwall's top performing state school and was awarded for his commitment to education at the first ever Cornwall Teacher Awards, winning 'Headteacher of the Year'.
